The importance of quality of life after cancer treatments by Dr Charlotte Fleming

Dr Charlotte Fleming is a consultant gynaecologist working in South Wales and she has run a menopause clinic for 20 years. She has a special interest in menopause after breast cancer.

In this short video, Dr Fleming gives a summary of the scale of the numbers of women living after breast cancer and the nature of the problem encountered when faced with the menopause, either naturally or induced because of cancer treatments. She emphasises the importance of working with the cancer team and for everyone to consider a woman’s quality of life and rather than making decisions based purely on cancer survival statistics.
